Origin: Ten Mile Woods
"In 1837 the Miami-Erie Canal, which would eventually connect Lake Erie with the Ohio River in Cincinnati, wa contracted out for completion and was divided into 36 one-mile sections between Laramie Summit and Junction, Ohio. Section Ten at Ten Mile Woods would be chartered in 1851 and later be known as Delphos, suggested by Father John Otto Bredeick.
